Rick Sobon – Expedition Trailmaster

  • Presides over Expedition Council meetings and monthly events
  • Enforces rules of procedure
  • Calls special meetings for conducting Expedition business as required
  • Official Expedition representative
  • Plans campout ceremonies (along with Naturalist)


Mark Trinka – Navigator

  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Expedition Trailmaster in his absence
  • Assists the Expedition Trailmaster as required
  • Maintains the Expedition Roster and Honor Points spreadsheets
  • Maintains the Expedition Wreath and Candy sales spreadsheets


Jim Kveton – Treasurer

  • Maintains the financial records of the Expedition


Gary Popek – Naturalist

  • Gives opening / closing invocations at Expedition events and Council meetings
  • Assists sponsoring Outfits with the planning of their monthly events
  • Plans campout ceremonies (along with Expedition Trailmaster)
  • Maintains achievement programs (i.e., Compass Skills, Winter Survival, etc.)
  • Creates, approves and maintains new achievement programs as required


Mark Egan – Scribe

  • Records the minutes of the Expedition Council meetings


Tony Fedor – Legend Keeper

  • Maintains a photographic journal of all monthly events


Carlo Reyes – Web Spinner

  • Maintains the Expedition website (Webmaster)


Mark Egan – Sand Painter

  • Publishes the Expedition Star Gazer newsletter


Dave Luzwick – Recruitment Organizer

  • Organize Expedition recruitment efforts
  • Coordinates with Outfit Trailmasters the assigning of new members into Outfits
  • Maintains the member roster and shares with the YMCA


Mike Mercurio – Awards Coordinator

  • Maintains inventory of award patches, medallions, plagues and trophies
  • Coordinates order processing for award patches, medallions, plagues and trophies
  • Coordinates order processing for monthly event patches
  • Presents achievement award patches, medallions, plagues and trophies at monthly events
  • Maintains historical inventory of at least (2) patches from each monthly event
  • Maintains inventory of Expedition tee shirts and sweatshirts


Dave Luzwick – Elder

  • Advises Expedition leadership team
